Rename or describe a column

1. Go to Fields.
2. Pick a table on the left.
3. Edit the column’s name or description.
4. Click Save changes.

To drop your unsaved edits, click Discard. A column can’t be left without a name. Your edits show in Build, when you pick columns for an insight, and in your AI tool connected through the MCP server. As an Admin or Owner, you can also ask your AI tool to rename or describe columns.

Restore the original

1. Click the revert icon next to the name or description. Hover over it to see the original text.
2. Click Save changes.

A restored column follows Enhanza’s text again, including later updates to it.

What you can’t edit

• Table descriptions, which come from Enhanza.
• Measures, the summaries Enhanza provides in Build. To add your own, create a metric.
